Naturally, we wanted wheels that matched the quality of the project. When we saw “Autostrada Modena wheels” being promoted online, they looked like the perfect fit.

But what followed was one of the worst buying experiences we’ve ever had. Instead of heritage wheels, we ended up with cheap Alibaba replicas from China, months of delays, and a supplier who vanished as soon as problems were raised.

The Renders – The First Lie

When we placed our order, the supplier sent us beautiful renders. They looked flawless: polished finishes, clean details, and the “heritage” look you’d expect.

We asked directly if these wheels were the same design as the originals. The answer: “Yes, they are exactly the same.”

But when the wheels finally arrived, it was clear: they were nothing like the original Autostrada Modenas. The renders were simply bait — a polished design used to sell cheap replicas.

Delays, Excuses, and Chasing Promises

We were told delivery would take 35 days. Instead, it dragged on for 12 weeks, now 1 Year.

During that time, we were forced to chase every update. The supplier never once provided proactive communication — only new excuses every time we asked.

“It’s my kid’s birthday today.”
“I’m at a wedding.”
“I’m going through a divorce.”
“I’m at the dentist.”
“I’m trying to sell my car to refund you.”
“I’m waiting for money to be cleared.”
“I had to order them from a supplier myself and I’ll DHL them.”
“I’m waiting for Wise to be approved.”
Always: “It will be done tomorrow.”

This cycle of lies went on for over a month straight.

We even spoke to our friends — the original founders of Rotiform — who told us:

“You’re one of the lucky ones. At least you received something. Many people order from this company and never get their wheels at all.”

That’s when we realised we weren’t just dealing with delays — this was a pattern of fraud.

The “Good Cop, Bad Cop” Game

Whenever we pressed harder, the supplier played the good cop, bad cop routine — pretending to help while blaming his “supplier” and “manufacturing partners.”

But the truth was obvious: there was no premium factory. The wheels were nothing more than cheap Alibaba products, repackaged with false branding.

Delivery After 12 Weeks – More Broken Promises

When the wheels finally arrived after 12 weeks:

❌ No wheel nuts (even though he promised they’d be in the box).
❌ No valve stems.
❌ Wrong colour, completely different from the renders.
❌ And worst of all, the wheels were clearly Chinese Alibaba replicas, not forged 3-piece wheels.

At that point, the feeling was impossible to ignore — it was like we had just ordered from Wish.com.

And unlike authentic Work-built Autostrada wheels (which always come with valve stems and are built to use stock wheel bolts), these replicas had unknown specs. To this day, we don’t even know what wheel bolts they’re supposed to run — a serious safety risk.

Finish So Bad, They Had to Be Rebuilt

The finish on the wheels was so poor that we had to take them to Wheel Lab UAE. The wheels were fully split, rebuilt, and refinished just to make them usable.

In fact, the quality was so bad that the only part being reused is the centre section. Everything else is being completely refinished and corrected by Wheel Lab to meet proper standards.

Instead of receiving ready-to-mount premium wheels, we had to spend additional time and money repairing a product that should have been delivered correctly in the first place.

When We Pushed Back – The Supplier Disappeared

When we raised the issues with the supplier, the lies continued — with promises of refunds that never came (a month of daily excuses in a row).

Eventually, the behaviour turned into outright avoidance:

🚫 Unfollowed us on social media.
🔒 Set his Instagram account to private.

This wasn’t customer service. It was the behaviour of someone hiding from accountability.

This is the account where the misleading renders and false promises are made. Since our experience, they’ve hidden behind a private profile to avoid exposure.

He goes by the name of : Alessandro Haneo / Alex Frank

We strongly advise anyone considering buying wheels to avoid him and this account entirely.

Why This Hurts Car Culture

Car culture is built on passion, heritage, and authenticity. By selling fake wheels under a respected name, this company is actively damaging the scene.

Selling Chinese replicas as forged heritage wheels.
Using counterfeit Ferrari logos.
Falsely claiming exclusivity with fake serials.
Refusing safe payment methods.
Deleting messages and hiding online.

This isn’t just poor service — it’s a calculated scam.

How to Avoid Getting Scammed

The wheels don’t even fit the car.

They are approximately 30mm off in fitment and physically hit the brake calipers, making them completely unusable. Even after professional rebuilding and refinishing, the wheels cannot be mounted safely or correctly.

What makes this even worse is that we still do not know what specifications these wheels are actually built to. There was no accurate documentation, no confirmed offset, no verified centre bore, and no clarity on what wheel bolts should even be used.

At this point, the situation went from disappointing to unacceptable:

❌ The wheels are the wrong spec
❌ They hit the brakes
❌ They cannot be fitted to the car
❌ They are completely unusable

After months of waiting, thousands spent, and professional intervention, we were left with wheels that cannot be run on any car safely.

Let that sink in:

For a Ferrari
And they don’t fit

This is gross negligence at best, and intentional fraud at worst.
